Frequently Asked Questions

You’ll encounter a variety of wildlife including elephants, lions, buffaloes, giraffes, hippos, and if lucky, leopards and cheetahs. Amboseli is particularly famous for its large elephant herds and views of Mount Kilimanjaro, while Tsavo offers a more rugged terrain with red-dust elephants, crocodiles, and spectacular birdlife.

This safari combines the best of both parks. Amboseli offers iconic views of Kilimanjaro and easy access to elephant sightings, while Tsavo East and West deliver a wilder, less crowded safari with unique landscapes like lava flows, natural springs, and Baobab-filled plains. The combined itinerary ensures a more diverse wildlife and scenic experience than visiting just one park.

Yes, the safari can be customized to end in Mombasa or Diani Beach. Many travelers choose to continue their trip to the coast after visiting Tsavo, as the park is conveniently located along the Mombasa–Nairobi highway and the SGR train route, offering smooth transfers to beach resorts.
